The Early County Family Connection Collaborative met on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Blakely- Early County Chamber of Commerce. Director Erin Lee welcomed attendees. Tonja Bridges and students Kemyra Conley and Caitlyn Dunwood presented on their experiences at the 2025 DFCS Youth Summit. Mayor Travis Wimbush was the guest speaker. The mayor discussed improvements being implemented within the city. He commended the initiators of the “Walk and Talk” club that has been formed to encourage a healthier Blakely. He is actively involved in the Mayors Reading Club, a grant designed to encourage reading across Georgia. Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at noon.
