We are thrilled to introduce the latest addition to our “StoryWalk” trail, designed to help families foster meaningful connections with nature—and each other—through a fun, interactive experience!
Thanks to the collaboration with Kolomoki Mounds State Park, this project brings together physical activity, family bonding, and community building right in the heart of the park.
Take your family on an outdoor adventure along the trail located between the campground and the Day Use area. As you enjoy the fresh air, you’ll follow the pages of the delightful children’s book, “I Went Walking.” Kids will love reading along as a child encounters a series of colorful farm animals one by one—from a black cat and a brown horse to a green duck and a yellow dog!
This interactive trail perfectly combines reading, walking, and nature identification to help kids connect with the great outdoors.
